This section outlines the essential functions, capabilities, and characteristics required for members of our trading community. It serves as a comprehensive guide to the necessary software and accounts.

Required Software & Accounts:

• TradingView: TradingView is our charting platform of choice owing to the fact that it has a huge range of features and tools that are great for algo traders. Open a TradingView account via this link and get a $15 credit.

• Chromium-based browser

  • Google Chrome (latest stable version)

  • Firefox (latest stable version)

  • Microsoft Edge (latest stable version; Chromium-based only)

• A broker account like ByBit, OKX or TooBit

Optional (but recommended)

• TradingView Premium account: This will give you advanced access to alerts (which are required for automating trades). Plus deep backtesting gives you more data to backtest on. Get TradingView Premium with a $15 credit.

• ByBit account: If you plan to trade crypto, you will need a broker. ByBit offers some of the best fees in the market and up to $30,000 bonus when you use this link.

• The Optimiser: The Optimiser is a free Chrome extension made by the DaviddTech community designed to automatically find the best settings for your trading strategy.

• Connected Exchange: Connecting your exchange allows your DaviddTech bots to automatically trade for you. Follow this guide to learn how to do it!

• Use TradingView Strategies: Fully coded strategies ready to be automated on TradingView. Read the docs.

• Use a Bot: Use either a Copy Bot or a Signal Bot to fully automate your trading without touching a line of code. Copy Bots allow you to copy other traders' strategies while Signal Bots let you automate any strategy you wish.

• Use The Optimiser - A very powerful tool that allows us to automatically optimize trading strategies with AI and bots. The Optimiser is a Chrome browser extension and runs on top of TradingView. Other features of the Optimiser include:

  • Seamless sharing of settings

  • Download CSV files of all settings and results

  • Download and upload various strategy settings.

• Become an Elite Backtester: Join this collaborative group of users optimizing and sharing strategy settings. You can join this amazing group in Discord at no extra cost. Share your best settings with the group, and you will get access to everyone else's settings.

• Use Incubate.trade: A trading journal for Elite Backtesters. This extremely powerful tool allows us to forward-test trading strategies.

• Use Trigger.trade: Middleman service that sits between TradingView and your exchange allowing you trade automatically by connecting directly to TradingView's alert system.
